Energized By And For The Lord

Christians have access to divine energy that is not available to unbelievers. We waste too much of it. There are many moments when I am a dud as a Christian. It is as if I put my Christianity into neutral. We always ought to be enthusiastic and energetic for the Lord. If the Lord is not the most exciting thing in your life something is wrong.

Luke 6:19: And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

The virtue that went out of Jesus Christ was way beyond the ordinary meaning: moral goodness. Virtue was translated from the Greek word Dunamis which is the word from which we get our word dynamite. Strong*s definition of Dunamis: miraculous power, a miracle itself, ability, abundance, meaning, might, mighty deed, worker of miracles, power, strength, violence, mighty work and wonderful work.

Jesus still has that same power today. If we are Christians we have Christ and His power within us. We ought to permit His power to operate in and through us.

Matthew 28:18: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

He loses none of his power when he enters our hearts.

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Christ lives and works within us. He is our energizer.

Mark 12:30: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

2 Peter 1:5: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

Ecclesiastes 9:10: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Romans 12:11: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Colossians 3:23: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Read what the Lord says about half-heartedness:

Revelation 3:16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

John 7:38: He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Let them flow. Don*t even think about stopping them up. They are more powerful than you. If you try to stop them up you will either spring a leak or explode. Jeremiah couldn*t hold it in.

Jeremiah 20:9: Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
